Lesson 3 (Week 1): Fighting the cravings

It is hard to fight off cravings overnight, especially when we already got used to having the sweetest desserts, the salty snacks, or even the most flavorful main course. Let’s admit, it’s easier to give in than to turn back from it.

The magic of psychology will help swap foods for healthier choices. Remember that when we were babies, we didn't have preferences for food. Growing up, we tasted a lot of different foods and our taste palette grew – where we choose the ones we really like.

Your mind can help you substitute foods with healthier choices. It may need some time to adapt, so replace cravings with a better option. For example, low-fat Greek yogurt is the best substitute for ice creams. Still, keep in mind the allotted calorie budget for the day.
